The event featured renowned author and motivational speaker Shri Gopinath Muthukad, who addressed the audience with engaging insights and motivational thoughts that encouraged students to envision a confident and goal-oriented future. The session, held at 11.30 AM, witnessed enthusiastic participation from TMA members and students.

St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thrissur, through its Department of Computer Science & Applications, successfully conducted Yukthi 3.0, an Inter-School IT Quiz Competition held on 3 December 2025 at Jubilee Hall. The event, which forms a part of the college’s annual tech fest “Verse,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from various schools, showcasing their technological knowledge and competitive spirit.The quiz featured three rounds. Attractive prizes worth ₹3000 for the first place and ₹1500 for the second place were awarded to the winners. The awards were presented by the , Dr. Sr Meena K Cheruvathoor,Principal of St. Mary's (Autonomous) College Thrissur adding grace and encouragement to the occasion.The event was coordinated by Staff Coordinator Manasy Jayasurya and Student Coordinators Archana C S, Alfeena Raphy, and Merin Benny, who ensured smooth and vibrant execution of the programme. The District Health Department and the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit jointly organized the District-Level World AIDS Day observance on December 1, 2025, at St. Mary’s College, Thrissur. The program aimed to strengthen public awareness on HIV prevention, eliminate stigma, and encourage community participation toward creating an AIDS-free society.

The event was inaugurated by Shri. Arjun Pandian IAS, District Collector, Thrissur. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri. Nakul Rajendra Deshmukh IPS, City Police Commissioner, Thrissur, whose address emphasized the importance of social responsibility, early testing, public awareness, and compassion toward individuals living with HIV.

Dignitaries from KSACS, NACO, various healthcare institutions, NSS units, and academic organizations were present. The program featured an awareness rally, thematic discussions, and interactive sessions highlighting this year’s theme of prevention, inclusivity, and community engagement.

Students, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and representatives from partner organizations actively participated, reaffirming their commitment to promoting accurate information on HIV, ensuring accessible health services, and supporting affected individuals with dignity.

The Department of Biotechnology at St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thrissur, in association with the Placement Cell, organized a two-day hands-on workshop titled “Data Mastery & Document Design: The MS Office Statistical Toolkit” on November 25 and 27, 2025. The session, held at the B.Voc SD Lab from 9:00 AM onwards, focused on enhancing students’ skills in MS Word document processing, Excel-based data management, data visualization, and computer-oriented statistical techniques.

The workshop was facilitated by a faculty member from the Department of Software Development, offering practical training aimed at improving academic performance and strengthening career readiness. The event highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering digital competency and supporting student growth.

The Department of Social Work at St. Mary's College (Autonomous), Thrissur, successfully conducted a two-day Creative Theatre Workshop titled "OPEN FRAME."

The enriching workshop took place on September 19 and 20, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM on both days.

Praveen Narayan, Director of PLAY PATIO, served as the Workshop Guide, leading participants through various creative and theatrical exercises. The event provided a platform for participants to explore new dimensions of expression and performance.

The initiative was a collaborative effort, organized with support from Rotary Club Thrissur and Rotaract, and was held in association with PLAY PATIO Theatre. The workshop concluded successfully, contributing to the college's cultural and academic engagement activities.

The event commenced at 9:00 AM and featured Dr. Smijo Sebastian, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, Rajagiri College of Management and Applied Sciences, Kakkanad, as the Guest of Honour.

Dr. Smijo led an insightful session on “Research Methodology”, where he shared valuable perspectives on the fundamentals of research, data analysis, and ethical approaches to academic inquiry. The interactive session helped students gain a deeper understanding of research processes and their applications in social work practice.
